Going to Lake Austin in a couple of weeks to fish a tournament . I have never been on the lake and the lake is off limits until the day before. When we can ride around an look the lake over . No fishing allowed until tournament morning.
I looked at the map on Google. It looks like there is plenty of boat houses to fish. Is there grass ?And is it matted ?
Will the wake boarders be out in force ?

grass is almost gone thanks to grass carp and wake-boarders/kayakers/paddle-boarders/skiers/jet-skiers/pleasure boaters are always out on weekends until its too cold

There is some hydrilla but it's pretty chewed-up. If you can find some healthy patches, fish them -- they're a bass magnet.

Do the wake boats stay on the deep end. Can you go up the river where it is not so deep and get away from them?

No, the whole lake (river) is deep enough for them. The farther up north you go the better you are but there can still be a ton of rec boats up north too.

The blue part of the map has been best, but for a ace like you just throw a dart @ it and start there. rolfmao rolfmao rolfmao rolfmao rolfmao rolfmao rolfmao rolfmao

Boat traffic is noticeably lighter now that school is in session, but until its in the 50s, there will be pleasure boat traffic. With no ramps open on Travis, it has been worse than ever.
