I notice that most are back to using feather jigs lately. Is it time (or past time)to change to feather jigs?
Put the plug in.

I fished Proctor today using both and they seemed to hit the feathered jig just a bit more than plastics. Also the bigger fish came from my hand tied jigs. Only got 12 keepers, but that was more than my last trip out.

I like to use a Swamp Thang or Timber Rattler Thump Buddy throughout the fall. I don't think it really matters if you use plastic or feather jigs, but I do think darker colors, such as browns and blues, catch more fish as the water clears and the sunlight changes. Hope this helps!
