Register on July 30th for a tournament created specifically for fly fishing in Texas!
Texas fly fishers, get ready to participate in an online catch and release contest where you will target local species that you may not be familiar with, explore bodies of water in the state that are new to you and by doing so, encourage more people to try out fly fishing by providing vital location information. This exciting multi-species tournament will test the skill of everyone who enters. Black bass, panfish, and select rough fish are the target for a total of 10 different species.
Your fish are entered by logging into this website, filling out the submittal form and uploading digital photographs. Designed first and foremost to be a fun event, we encourage everyone just be part of this to have a good time. But winning is also fun, so there will be over $1,500 in prizes going out to the top fishermen. More importantly, placing in the top 6 of the General Tournament will qualify those contestants to compete in the Master's Tournament- a guided competition to be held on the South Llano River during the Oktoberfisch fly fishing festival. These 6 contestants will be randomly paired with a professional guide for the day to compete for the grand prize.
There is a $20.00 entry fee that contributes to the cash award prizes and tournament associated costs.
