Dirty Jigs sold at tacklewarehouse.com Made in cali are some awesome swim jigs, I just moved here from VA and used them to stroke bass on the Potomac River using a Yamamoto Single tail grub or for bigger bass i would throw a Keitech swim impact Fat as a trailer.

I like the kvd strike king ones. They have good patterns and swim good but I like the santone too. Really you can get any jig you like with a good wedge design head and use it.

Hard to beat a santone swim jig it has a big hook and comes the cover better then a snake then pair it up with a gambler flappy on the back of it and its unstoppable! Be sure to put it on 65lb braid and reel as fast as you can and hold on because you might catch a seamonster on it! Lmao

Try Joey at Flatlands custom Lures . He can do any color and about any weight . Rattling or not whichever and all come equipped with great hooks and can even get wide-gaps. Joey will do you up right.

The new V&M Pacemaker Pulse Swim Jig. It is the real deal. Built by Cliff Pace, beautiful paint jobs, and a custom 30 degree hook. Colors are awesome! Definitely need to try them!

Don't really see them marketed around here, but I'm a big fan of Omega. Tackle Warehouse carries several models. Just throwing another name in the hat.
Can't we all just get along....

We had some great response at ICAST this year with our new Swim Raptor. Good enough that BASSIN' Magazine is including us in their Best of ICAST edition due out in a few days. I haven't figured out how to include pics on this site yet, but we have them on our home page at www.mesubait.com Basically, it's a free hanging hook so your texas rigged plastic moved more life like. Comes with a TroKar TK 120, but it can be changed out. The applications are limitless. I've put a swim bait on the back and fished open water with an exposed hook. I won a tournament texas rigging a 10" worm in 20' water in heavy trees. It comes through the grass great. And just last week I had the crazy idea of rigging a double leg rage tail and swimming it top water over the grass (that could be my favorite)

I would call them. They may have had a bad batch of hooks. I make all my own jigs but if I did not you can bet my boat would have a ton of Santones in them. One thing has always impressed me is their hooks.

Here in Alabama, especially on the Coosa, most use Dirty Jigs. They fish it Coosa style, holding the rod tip,@11 o'clock, and pumping the rod threw the river grass.Hard to beat the guys who have the technique down...Randy Howell has a great video fishing the swim jig...

I have some Santone swim jigs, and I highly doubt the hook bent- unless tuna fishing! They are superb!

once the hook bends and you bend it back ive found that it breaks shortly afterwards.....i got on the the best school of fish in my life a few weeks ago after 3 6# the hook was bent bad enough that it was getting snagged on every cast. maybe a bad batch of hooks i dont know ive never heard of that but i guess it could happen. ive talked to a couple fellow anglers in my club and they have had the same happen to them. only hook ive found to not bend is strike king hack attack jig, they are monsters

Try the Elk River Jigs Flippin/Swim jig. It is available in all the colors on our website or we will build your custom color. Great swim jig and also a great wood jig. ![](http://i794.photobucket.com/albums/yy226/elkriverjigs/sexyshad_zpsa0b45e8a.jpg)

Dirty Jigs California Swim Jig. Stout hook and the best shad and bluegill colors out there. Should do good in Lilly pads with braid and the hook will stick them pretty good.

Garymcd jigs are awesome! I bought several and they look even better in person and in the water. Very fast shipping, great price and made me the exact colors I requested.
Thanks, Eric

NuTech Lures NuJigs are great swim jigs. because of the design of the NuJig, no matter how fast it is pulled through the water, it will never roll over. it stays straight up all the time. it also hooks more accurately because of the design. check them out at nutechlures.com

Bo said it and I have experienced it first hand and its called the roll factor.
You want a jig that does not roll over during the retrieve at whatever speed you desire. This is due to how the head is designed, thus keeping the hook straight up and then hooking the fish in the roof of the mouth.
go ahead and take several swim jigs and compare them in a pool or clear lake and see for yourself.

instead of trailer try a spinner bait blade NuTech Lures has a lure called the WhizJig that has a blade attached to the hook that is great as a swimJig of replacement in many circumstances for a spinner bait. bo

im very impressed with the owner of santone jigs, we spoke on the phone and are going to do a little detective work and see why the hooks on the 2 jigs had bent, he was very interested in getting the problem resolved. we are leaning toward a bad hook, i have a dozen or so left im going to try them and let him know if it was an isolated case or what if it happens to the other ones he wants them back to look at them, i will report back with findings......

The fine folks at Santone will indeed take care of you! I can't imagine the hooks on those swim jigs failing. Something is definitely fishy there. Santone Swim jig in Pake's Perch with a Castaic Jerky J Swim Series in Blue Gill Color I'd like to see a picture of that combo! Sounds intriguing!

I'll try to remember to take a picture when I'm out on the boat this weekend. The tail of the Castaic swimbait thumps pretty hard in the water for a thinner profile swimbait. And your boy sure knows how to make a fine looking jig.

reviving an old thread here. I told yall i would give an update about santone swim jigs. after i made the post about the hooks bending jerrod contacted me and asked some questions to get more information. after some r&d time they have come out with the best swim jig out there. for those who catch the toads buried in the nasty stuff. they have come out with a new siwash series swim jig, it is awesome, check out the monster hooks they have! i wrestled a 8 pounder out of the grass with it with no bending of the hook at all. won my club tourney on rayburn with that 8# and a 6# and used the same jig all day.....theres a couple reasons for the big hook they hit the nail on the head with this lure!!!!
