Took a little stroll to Lake Belton this morning with the camera. Do a little birding!!!! Is this a ROCK Cornish hen??? How about this one?? Well....at 12½ ft. low........all kinds of birds showing up!!! Here is a great nesting spot for the endangered cinder block plover!!!! Why in lord's name would someone add disaster to mayhem?? Smack dab in McGregor cove! AND in case your looking for the Stairway to Heaven....keep looking..........it ain't on Belton!!!!! YEP....bank fishing is more accessible everyday!!!! Pick your side of the old 36 road bed!!! Just incase the man made obstacles are not enough.....plenty left by Mother Nature!!! Most the birds seemed to be enjoying, "Shad on the Rocks"!!!

Yeah, it's getting interesting on all the lakes. Makes me shutter when I realize that I have hauled but over some of the stuff we are starting to see. Been marking a lot of these dangers for when the water starts to rise.

We all need to be praying for rain. LORD Almighty here us pray to you we need some rain...Amen Be careful for what you ask for....Look at Colorado...lol.. But yes seriously we do need some serious rainfall. Ron I was on LL today and yes it is getting scarier each time out. I was talking to Marinemax at the boat ramp and their shop is full of pleasure boats. They have a $300,000.00 boat in the shop with $37,000.00 worth of damage from the old forest showing its ugly face.

People need their luscious green lawns and 20 minute showers and you know what, here in austin there isn't a day going by where there isn't a freaking car was opening up on another street corner. That's where our water is going

We just may get something from the TD. But it seems like we need a week of heavy rain to make a difference. The fish were shallow also............they don't have a choice!

we need a tropical event, that's for sure.. and not just one of those in and out ones, but the slow boys that hang for days and get stuck on a front.
Not even sure that will solve it, but it wouldn't hurt.

Well Toledo Bend was down 13' just year before last so I know how that is. Shame it's down so much. Again we are in need of rain and a good bit of it.
Good luck on your end!

I was at the south east branch of Joe Pool Friday morning, past the bridge. I hit some tree tops that had not caused me any problems the week before in the same area. These were all below the surface so you could not see them but you could feel them. I was only going real slow at the time so it didn't do any damage, other than tee me off. I hate to hit anything with my motor. I quickly switched to the trolling motor and left the area. I like fishing the standing trees you can see in that area but not enough to risk damage to my boat.
