So, who plans on being there? Ill be there but will be limited as to where i can launch due to driving a car and not my jeep. Theres quite a few guys going down from tkf but figured i would see who from here is heading down and if possible, maybe bum a ride down the beach. Im staying in port a and will be there from Thursday to Monday.
Fishing the ends of the jetties wont be an issue for me but getting to MM 80 might be in a Bmw 535

I was down in port A thursday-sat.. took my honda accord and camped at mm 80. The beach road was really smooth and compact. honestly I dont think you will get stuck unless you try to drive up a dune. wastn the best trip but hey paddling out in 5ft waves & learnin my yak was a blast. getting rained on through out the night not so fun lol. So I called my trip early. Also hope the weed is out bc it was THICK!!!!

What kind of classes do they offer? I assume he is getting a guide?
BigDave, if you are interested in getting out and catching bull reds, kings, cobia and shark, hit me up. There will be quite a few guys heading out that weekend.
I will be fishing the end of the jetties and m&p platform, assuming the surf is good.
Thanks for the heads up super, i had no idea as to what slowride is..

I don't know terribly much about slowride myself other than hearing about it on tkf, but I tell you what, I'm definitely interested in meeting up with people heading out. I'm busy this weekend but wife and kids go on a trip for a few weeks so i'll have a few rare free weekends. I've been contemplating Matagorda or something close to 3-4 hour drive.. are most of you guys coordinating on tkf? weather has looked crazy this week on much of coast with lots of storms and decent swells, hope that clears up!

I have been talking with a few guys from tkf and even if its to rough to hit up the rigs, there is always the end of the jetty and catching bulls btb

Go down 361 to beach access road 2. That'll put you at beach market 92-96 I think. Lots shorter travel on the sand from there to Beach Marker 80 than coming from access road 1.

Please watch that weather closely! Pins is closed already because of high tides. Seas are going to be in the 5 foot area wednesday. beach is owned by seaweed. It will take a lot for this to calm down in a week. The jetties is the very last place you will find me. That place is too damn dangerous.
