It depends... When fishing was good it was a 1oz oldham jig on a Powertackle PG104 or PG104.5. When fishing sucks as in now, I'm back to using a Loomis GLX844.

All of those are great rods! My favorite Dobyns rod of all is the DX 784 Mike Long signature jig rod! It's an awesome versatile rod. I use it for big flutter spoons and c-rigs as well as jigs. Depending on exactly what kind of jigging you want to do and where you mainly fish will help in determining what is the best jig rod for that particular application. Saying that, you really can't go wrong with any of Mark's suggestions.

I'm a long rod guy I love the longer rods 7'6"-8ft for flipping and pitching even casting jigs. It just feels better to me I currently use a 7'6"H Kistler KLX it has a mod fast tip with allot of back bone. The mod fat tip makes your pitching more accurate and gives the fish time to eat the jig before u rip their lip. I also have used the 7'6"XH KLX its good for heavier jigs 3/4oz-1 1/4oz still has great tip action and has a broom stick back bone this rod is great for flipping nasty stuff with 65lb braid. The 7'6" H I always use 20lb Floro
