Nice to see some footage of the rod. Fished it once now and it is indeed a very nice rod. Took a little more effort to load and shoot in the wind but it does that too. The clouser a little bit better with winds, but the mini mag is close. I really like making only two false cast. Even though i havent got an integrated shooting line yet, so it only gets better i guess. Got one hit by a small pike but it didn't stick and the rod tip flexed a good bit, so yes this rod is not that stiff.
Damn those bass are nice and in such pond. Pike are a lot vulnerable and arent that much spread. I envy you for that guys haha. Have to make it to the states someday for some small and largemouth fishing..

Got the first pike today on a selfmade streamer and the minimag. The spot was really tight and needed to cast with some accuracy.

Jasper, Fantastic pic. That's a very nice fish. We have his little cousin, pickerel, in some of our North Texas lakes. They are only active in shallow water in January and February, tho.

Congratulations!
Now that you've fished it. How would you compare the Mini-Mag to the Clouser?

I'll try to add some new insight about the differences between the two.bit a lot has been said about the two. The mini mag feels lighter in the hand, offcourse because it is shorter. I find this to cause less fatique. The minimag is a tad stiffer, the wiggling comparisation revails the softer tip on the clouser. In hard wind i like the clouser better. It tranfers the power better in those circumstances. Casting distance is a close call, i am able to throw far with the minimag, with the clouser a little bit further. Accuracy in close range is obvious. The minimag is better, but the clouser i also pretty accurate. The last three trips i used the minimag and not the clouser and feel a littlebit sad about that
