Sorry for the fuzzy pic but can anyone ID this spider? I found it screwing around in my smoker.

Looks to be a black widow, based on the hourglass on its underside. Unless that's the top side. Immature black widows are not black until fully mature.

Dude, do you really not know what that is? The hour glass didn't give it away?

You really need to use your grill more often. I'd be worried about the ones you can't see...... eeks

Tex, I had my suspicions and yes in my haste i failed to mention that i thought it was a BW but wanted to make sure. Sorry. I just hate rushing to hurt one of Gods creatures prematurely. And I use the grill a lot. Out of nowhere this guy popped out in my grill.

I honestly hadn't seen one up close especially here in Houston. I'm glad you guys confirmed my suspicions. Ill be dealing with it here shortly.

Two more clues are the dark location and that stringy web . Not really black , though . Do we have brown widows in Texas yet ?

That grill is impressively clean for being used a lot. . .lol.

Any time you see an erratic, stringy web like that around Texas, it's usually a black widow.

I love the infatuation with the 'grill'. Lol. Its one of those combo units that stack and what you are looking at is the grate over the water bowl. There are 3 grates in that unit and I configure it depending on if I'm grilling or smoking. So yes that bowl and grate are shiny and new looking.

There. Now that I've explained myself for no apparent reason I hope we can put the burning issue of my grill aside and move on.
