I just picked up a new downrigger but don't have my Sonar yet (new boat waiting to get mine next week from shut up and fish. Does anyone know what depth the fish are biting near the cross?

JD Lyle, enjoys trollers around his boat for some reason he claims they keep the fish active!

Fish are from Table top to the cross down to the islands and back up north between the bridges. Set your depth just above the thermocline and go. Please watch out for anchor ropes! Serioulsy! Hooking the anchor could not only rip your rigger off but could cause 2ounce weights to come flying your way!

Thanks much, I won't be trolling near the party boats, Chris Carey, Matt Cartwright and JD raised me better than that.

I can't wait to try my new SI when it gets in I will be working the slabs when it gets here

Well guys I never even hooked up my Downrigger. Managed to slab up limits and some overs. Although I do see what you mean, I was having some good luck and a guy in a fish master trolled about 20 feet from me, no biggie still slammed them but now I understand.
