I'm headed to Galveston and have not fished there in 30+ years. I'm looking to do some bay fishing, with light tackle, but will not have a boat. Is there anyplace that will have wade fishing access or possibly a small pier access? I'm really not too interested in the "party boat" fishing. Any pointers appreciated.

...so good it tastes like it died screaming!

Thanks is what you're calling West End the lower part of the island, across from Chocolate Bay, Halls Lake...etc? And I'm assuming public accessible.
