Fishing at Conroe and Livingston can be tough in the heat and coming up goose eggs is not uncommon. For whatever reason I am usually able to pattern the bite at Rayburn and the Bend a lot easier and am usually able to gather up a few decent fish when I'm out. Heck on a good day when I'm feeing froggy , I can even rustle up a couple of larger deeper fish during the middle of the day before the effects of heat stroke take over .
