Does any one use the navionics app on their smart phones the marine and lake US version for 9.99? If so does this app have the capability to track you on the lake and show where you are and where you have been? Is this app worth the 10 bucks to get it.

Great app and yes it does. Got that one on my phone and the lakemaster on the unit. Nice to have both to compare out on the water.

Thinking of upgrading the Navionics on the phone to the HD app, and replacing the Lakemaster on the unit with Navionics. At least on Texoma I have found the Lakemaster chip to be inaccurate to the point it is frustrating. Straw

Worth the money but make sure you have a power cord with you cause it eats some battery while tracking

Until we purchased a new hummingbird we used the navonics app for our i phone and the i pad. we would plan the trip on the device at home and roll with plan once we hit the water.

I used it before I could afford a good fish finder with GPS. I still have it, and use it When I'm on the couch studying a lake I'm Planning to fish. I have not figured out how to make it track my routes though. You can save waypoints on it though. I think at the time it was the best ten bucks I had ever spent on fishing equipment.

As others have said it does track where you have been. Also you can set a route you want to take and just fallow the line on your screen. You can mark your favorite fishing spots and take pictures of the fish or area. Another cool thing you can be on your sofa looking at a lake your thinking of fishing and thumbing thru the TFF and some one post long and lat you can plug that in and it will take you to that lake and spot. Really cool.

I love the Navionics app on my phone also! I can stare at it all day and planning out the potential spots I havent tried yet. It got great details for for a phone app. $10 bucks is cheap for this app, imo It will tell you how fast ur going also and its accurate when comparing to my high dollar Lowrance graph. I was on a couple of mega Ferry boats while vacationing in the NW, and the app will tell you how fast the ship is going. Also if you do NOT wish to share your secret holes, make sure to UNCHECK the "Community Layer" check box or everyone with this app can see them Also FYI, if you are traveling to a city that doesnt have data signal for your phone or you do not wish to use your data on your smart phone, download the TripAdvisor app for that city. You can turn your phone to airplane mode and turn on GPS. Your map that is downloaded with TripAdvisor will work nicely with the GPS signal. FYI if you do not wish to have roaming charges

I have the app on both iPhone and iPad. It does work great for planning your fishing. The detail on the Ipad is awesome.
