I fish a few local neighborhood ponds. One of em is stocked way better than the others. By numbers and size. It's only about an acre and a half. The biggest I've personally pulled out was a 7.5. Here recently a guy I talked to threw in a couple 8s. Well this morning I happen to get a glance at one of em. It was a giant. It's been a tough summer out here. I've tried everything. You name it, I've thrown it. I just wanted to know what y'all would throw in a time like this. This fish is at least 8 maybe pushing 9. I'm just not sure what to throw in front of her to make her bite. What would be your go to lure in this situation?

Something to get a reaction bite, brushhog, maybe swing a swim bait right in front of its face.

Fish it at night with a black top water or black oversized plastic. Post a pic if you get her. Good luck.

There are two baits that I know she will bite the first cloudy and rainy morning that comes along.
My Spook and my Orange bladed spinner bait.

Big bream swimbait (floating version), big weightless Senko, or a drop shot. Throw well past to not scare her and stay as far back as possible. A nice slow retrieve. You have to make the fish think they saw the bait before you saw them so its natural. There was this trout hatchery in Georgia right on a lake. They released the trout in the creek next to the hatchery and there were always at least 2 9-11lb bass right under a little bridge over the creek. The water was crystal clear so you could watch them all day but it was clearly marked no fishing past the bridge where they stayed. Well, I was a kid and being a kid one day I tied on a trout colored crank and stood on the fish able side and threw under to the fish. I reeled it right to ones nose and stopped it, twitched it, and bam. Two seconds later I had broke line and a new addiction. It was amazing how people respected those fish enough to leave them be. I felt bad after doing it but I learned from it. Wish I could go back there with a huge trout swimbait. There are huge fish in that lake.

I would say a finesse drop shot or a shakey head real slow

Grande Bass baby rattlesnake weightless. Find a cool drink, flip to a likely spot or near fish if visible, open cool drink and begin drinking, wait for line to move, set hook.

Can't we all just get along....

Five inch bluegill on a 7/0 hook.

Young bullfrog or small slider turtle.

Big, softshell crawfish.

Waterdog if nothing else.

But something that the fish would normally find and eat in the pond, and presented in the fashion the fish might see it as an easy meal.

slather everything you throw in your favorite fish attractant (spike it, jj's magic, or whatever you like)... Don't know if it will work for sure, but heck, I would try everything you can!

Throw a blue gill swim bait tupiclly that's their main forage in ponds. Use one that does not sink or does so slowly
