This morning I caught a rod and reel at Alan Henry (old rod with Curado on it) and they looked like they had been in the water for a long time. The reel had some mineral buildup it looked like, and the worm that was ties on was still as a board. The reel seemed like it was locked up and wouldn't move, but the reel still looked pretty good other than that. Any ideas if this reel is salvageable still if I sent it in for a professional cleaning?? Also, if you think this might be your rod and reel, PM me where in Alan Henry you lost it and I'll gladly return it to you. By the way, the worm that was tied on appeared to be the same worm and color as the one I snagged it with haha

I pulled one up on Amistad a couple years ago. It had been down there a long time.

I'm sure the bearings are gone....but you would have to open it up and look at some of the other parts....the guts.
