Well if your following the reports ya know ive been on the trout...
I've had the opportunity to try out some new lures that are working there way through florida...
The Dinkum mullet
http://www.treasurecoasttackle.com/pauls-dinkum-mullet-70-suspending-pearl-black/and Dawg slider..
http://www.treasurecoasttackle.com/unfair-lures-dawgslider/At first I was skeptical but since so many people/ friends were pushing me to try them i figured what the heck...
The topwater will make a distinct little *pop* when you give a light twitch...
Walking the dog takes time to learn...hard twitches will make it dive just under the surface where you can walk the dog and lighter twitched will walk the dog on the surface...
The 120 size helped cull out the smaller trout...almost all trout caught on this one were 16"+

By 7:45 I had a limit of trout...I kept plugging around trying the lures ....
The topwater bite didnt really die but i would toss the top to locate the trout and follow up with the dinkum mullet..hookups nearly everytime...

Around 11AM on my way in these two gals decided to play with the Dinkum mullet....24.5" and 22"
They put on one hell of a show tail walking all over the place...

Along the way I managed to get water in my camera so i wont have a stringer shot of my limit until i clean them (on ice now)...
HOpefully I get it working again so I can continue posting photos..
I really like these lures, something different to throw....They have a place in my tackle box and the dinkum is going to be tied on ready for action from now on...
Till Next time..
Life is good...
