Did well on texoma early early morning, if you had live shad you caught em till you caught a limit, i was only able to catch a few shad both mornings, caught fish on every shad, even caught a few on a 2' slab. The slab bite died withing 30 mins but was hot and heavy while it lasted. The secret (in my opinion) is getting out there at the buttcrack of dawn. Fished both mornings on the north island ledge at anchor in 40' of water. The fish schools were thick and stayed under the boat the entire time until i left around 930

Id recommend being in your boat no later than 530am. If you need to catch shad, earlier.
