That's a hobby I really need to learn.. if nothing else just being able to repair rods would be nice since no one around here seems to it....

Once I get a couple under my belt and i feel They are good enough im start doin them for others and would like to grow it into good side business

Like to have someone local, don't like shipping rods just to fix a couple eyes and really don't want to drive 400 miles to drop them off.. @ STEVE B ...Ron over at REEL TIME RODS not only repairs rods but also will make you a custom rod

It is really fun and gratifying to build your own. Mud Hole has some good vids on YouTube, and they also sell rod kits that are a great way to get started, as they have all of the components already in the box. The MHX kits/blanks that they sell are a really good way to go for customs. Good luck, and stick with it and you'll be cranking out one off customs in no time
