Your iPhone displays the following Temperature message. This is the first I've seen this. I use the Navionics app on my iPhone for GPS and around noon today it displayed this message. That's when I knew it was definitely time to call it a day.

Mine did that awhile back. Now I try to be sure it's in the shade or at least screen side down. Just my $.02, but seems to me a quality-built, quality-designed product would stand up to normal Texas summertime heat without having to do such things!! C.

When you're running the directions finder on google maps app mine heats up quite a bit. Put that with the blazing heat and bingo.

mine only does it if i leave it on the dash while fishing in the heat.
