Heard they were charging $30 to launch this weekend due to the holiday. That's worse than the price gouging gas prices. I will never give them any of my business ever again. I understand they make there money from boat launches but you don't have to try and make two months worth in one weekend.

Man, I sure hope that's not true. The darn lake is low anyway and something like this will discourage fishermen/women. It's a small lake and fairly shallow anyway, recreational boaters have many other lakes are close by with many more facilities for them so, don't want to discourage fishing there.

They will never get my business again.

The marinas on EM are their for their slip owners not for the the general public use. They all have limited parking and ramp and they want to keep it for their leasees But if someone is willing to pay the money then they are willing to over look the inconvience.

Drive down to the new twin points ramp and pay the $10

Azle would get someone out to 're-think' the boat ramp they put in the city park which is FREE and FIX IT!!!

Whoever designed and whoever bought off on that project was either dumb, not a fisherman/boater or just brain fart!!!

I would not pay $30 a year to fish EM much less per launch.

EM is only good during the week when the idiots are away. Why would any fisherman want to go fish that lake on a holiday is beyond me.

The fact is you have to pay anywhere to put in on that mud hole, which pisses me off. I would rather spend a little extra in gas and go to a lake that you will not get killed on during a holiday.

Well, for me it's only 7 miles so, guess thats my lake of choice. For sure not going to Lake Fork, not enough confidence and low water hazards or Bridgeport. Same thing there, low water hazards.
All are losing water daily in this darn heat wave and NO FREE WATER!! ARghhhhhh

Branch out sometimes. Try the vine or Squaw Creek this fall and winter for something close but not to far away. The Mountain is ok if you know it, it will just not satisfy my need for baby bear cubs although there are good fish there.

Also don't be afraid of Fork, use common sense and you will be fine if you go. Stay in the boat lanes and you are good to go.

I remember few years back when most ramps were flooded,a few that were usable,jacked up the price!

Now would be the time to do something for shady grove (city park) like dredge it and fill in that huge damn sink hole in the swimming area so no more kids drown.

I can vouch that lake view was packed just like it always is... People will pay anything to have fun.

For the person that heard it was 30 dollars they was wrong it is 20 on the holiday weekends and 10 on weekdays 15 on weekends as it has been for the past 4 years.
