I am convinced there is no better boat on the PLANET for fly fishing than the Diablo Adios... but I'm biased... You can try one at the backwoods kayak concession in fort worth.

That guy upstairs in the fly fishing...he is awesome! I'm defiantly getting a 9wt fly rod set up from him.

Why do you say that? I'm hearing/reading it is too.

NTX Paddler had one at Southlake last summer. He stood on it all morning. I was surprised at how he could walk all over it. I don't think he's as big as you or I, but he moved around on it like I walk around on the deck of my bass boat.

The Adios is definitely a great platform to stand and fish. You need to test as many as possible and weigh out the pros and cons.
I think you're going to find that the yak you have is just right for what you are trying to do. Also, we can fabricate a stand and cast for it (your Coosa). Just sayin...

I totally agree with Jerry on trying as many kayaks as you can and see what fits you. I demoed a Freedom Hawk at Caddo earlier this year and is hands down the most stable boat I have ever been in. But the Freedom Hawn didn't have other features that I like in a kayak; I ended up getting another Coosa and still have my Cuda 12. I stand up in both of my boats ALOT. Ask 50 guys what they like and you'll get 54 different answers. But what fits you?

Yes I intend to demo as many as possible at the 9/28 GTG. Jerry, I'd love to take out your Slayer. So far, I have these on my list to demo:

Adios
Chupacabra - if anyone has one
Slayer
Frontier 10 & 12
Amigo - if APT gets it ordered in time
KC
Raptor
Freedom Hawk

I'm sure I'll take others out too.

Jerry - I'd be interested in hearing your ideas on how to rig out my Coosa as a standing platform.
