My girlfriend is buying them for me for my birthday, so I'm wondering what color lenses are the best. I'm going to be wade fishing and kayak fishing marshes and etc. They have to be 580 and glass. Would any color work fine or no?

Amber or brown with green mirror.

Been so long since I looked at the Costas colors that I don't know their proper names, sorry.

For inshore I love 580G Green Mirror, if you were gonna use them more offshore I'd recommend Blue Mirror but both will work in both conditions. I think the Green Mirror gives you better definition in inshore water.

I've always had blue mirror. They aren't as dark as you would think. I wear mine when its storming while i'm driving and have no problem. Texas is so bright all the time that I think blue mirror is perfect... but i've never worn any of the other colors.

I like the brown lens best for sight fishing, but everyone sees things a little different.

Until you get down to the lower coast and clear water, I don't think it matters. For the lower coast I also like the brown lenses.

Great advice!

Whether you think you can or you can't, you are probably right.

i have never used or tried Costas, but I have the standard Maui Jim grey polarized glasses and it is outstanding quality and true colors across most of the spectrum. Sorry for derailing your question, but it is an option for all around glasses. I use them for everything including driving, playing sports, fishing and bird hunting. I'm pretty sure they would do great sight casting based on what I have done so far with them

Get one pair of each and go with the 580 glass. Be a boss.
