Fished there with Lucky Lindy Charters on Sunday and had a great time. Put up with a few rain showers off and on throughout the day. Finished the day with one limit of specks kept for the grill . Caught a little of most everything else . Mr. Lindy Hebert did a great job for us from moving around to keep us on the fish to keeping me in check on the weather before the trip started. He even recommended a great place to eat on our way home afterwards! Overall a great experience on Sabine Lake .

Yeah that was me ! How was the fishing for you? You drive quite a ways from Colleyville considering you said you keep a boat there.

Too rough for me Sunday. I should have launched in the river or ICW. Gave up on plastic, caught some bait and anchored up. Got my reds and went home. Had one on the half shell Tuesday night and one blackened tonight 😄
Leaving my boat down there makes the trip down much easier.

Clean, non smoking, $60 for a queen suite and super nice people. Breakfast at 5. No power or water for boats but they are getting more fisherman and beginning to understand the need.

Yeah I understand the ease of leaving a boat there . We launched at that marina by the Rainbow bridge. The water never was real bad. Like you we never had much luck on artificial baits and stayed with shrimp and mullet for the day.The hotel is not bad it just seems to have an issue of some sort everytime I stay there. Ive found spiders on pillows once , I never got my wake up call this last time. if it wasn't for the guide calling wanting to talk about the weather Id probably slept late. Im not saying Ill never stay there again but I might try La Quinta on the other side of the bridge a try. It was good to meet ya . Hope I see ya again sometime!
