I just booked a waterfront rental house for my family at the east end of JFK causeway bridge in Corpus Christi for Thanksgiving holiday.
First of all, I have no salt water fishing experiences, and here are my questions:
1. I'll take my two kids with me, and we can fish from our balcony. What fish can we catch there by that time? What are the baits I need to use?
2. I'll bring my waders to try some inshore fishing too. What are the best time for fishing and what can I catch? (Am, Pm?)
3. There is a Packery channel and looks like it's a good spot for fishing off the bank? How crowed is there?

if your balcony has lights you wont have to go anywhere else. fish under them at night with live shrimp under a popping cork.you can expect to catch trout,reds,and hardheads the packery shouldnt be crowded that time of year.its long and you can always find a spot.good luck!

fishing is great this time of year. Fish top and bottom and try to get some live mullet and fish them deep on a mud bottom.

I will be there for Thanksgiving with my family so I hope fishing will be good. We will be in a condo just north of Bob Hall pier.

fishing can be off the hook that time of year. Trout and Reds... and big ones. It can also be blown out with a norther.

If a norther hits i'd probably soak live or dead crab at the south jetty and catch bulls. If its between fronts with a warm south winds hit the grass flats and wade with tops or spinnerbaits. fish edges and potholes with bait fish present you'll do fine.

your kids will have a blast fishing from the balcony with cut shrimp on a small hook, can catch alot of croaker, but u will probably hook up onto a catfish, make sure to teach your kids the fins are very painful, 1 small prik can ruin a kids fishing for the rest of the day, i would probably fish at night, its cooler and the ligt will attract fish
