Wondering if anyone here has ever bought the 11gal. tank that grayline makes? Really don't need the 20gal.but is it worth the extra 150 dollars

Bigger is always better..but if space and money are a concern the lil one is still a great tank. Also depends on how much bait you plan on keeping

I've got the 17 gallon which has the same footprint as the 11 if I'm not mistaken. It works like a charm. In fact.... mine just sits in my garage.... Make me an offer.

Jackson sounds like your is working great as a storage shelf And I constantly hear about it from the boss lady. To the OP..... I was looking at getting the 11 because of its small size BUT.... The 17 is the same footprint and holds quite a bit more shad if you get the second aerator that they offer. I can tell you that you won't be sorry you spent the additional money to get a Grayline. The guy who sells them will walk you through the recipe that your specific tank needs to keep shad alive on the hottest of days. They are well built and yes.... they do well as a storage shelf too.

Sounds like Jackson's is the way to go. I cant imagine an 11 gal tank. You will be much happier with the 17. I have a 40 gal and wish I went for the 50 instead. I have a Super Bait Tank II. They are both good brands. JD is right bigger is better.

I can appreciate your desire to save space. My boat gets overcrowded quickly. A larger tank will allow you to hold more bait and hold it longer. If you have a friend with you and the fish start biting, nice thought, you can go through bait pretty fast. A larger tank will keep the bait in better condition also. I can keep shad for a week in my tank and they are still fresh and frisky. I use salt and a little nomonia.

I do enjoy a good Squirt now and then.

Leave it up to my good buddy Austin to poke fun at me! I think it was the resident potlicker that splattered my posts all over THIS SIDE of the forum?! DOH! I didn't know you could do that. Pastor John..... 100% agree.

I work for George at Grayline. I'd go with a 17. Same width and length, just a few inches taller. The 11 will haul 50 bait easy all day, while the 17 can handle 100. Rec'd a e-mail from a customer in Wakeeny,KS that just bought a 17. He crammed 100 4" shad in his 17 and fished till 6:30. Had 3 die all day and released 25 very active bait. Western KS in Aug is hot also. Give us a call and we'll help you decide. 580 920 2085

Bandit Does the 17gal have same filtration as the 20gal. Have been told that they are different and wondering if that is true. Just want the right filtration.
