Whats the weed situation like ? Worth a trip?

I think the late summer fishing has been so difficult that most everyone has given up till fall.I believe Ted said his last trips out there had been blanks, and that it might require a baiting campaign to produce. My experiences in summers past is that it is extremely hit and miss without prebaiting this time of year.Caught a nice 28lb common and a 36lb grasser in late august 3 years ago. the weeds would be a tough call without anyone actually being there in the last few weeks cause the weeds can grow extremely fast in late summer

PB Common Carp....... 38 lbs
PB Mirror Carp........12 lbs 8 oz
PB SM Buffalo........ 53 lbs
PB Grasser........... 48 lbs 4 oz
PB Blue cat.......... 17 lbs (caught on maize)

ACA members August, Mike, Jason and Kurt fished it this weekend for just a few carp. Weeds were reasonable, however I understand other campers and boaters were very unreasonable.
Next month is the ACA open fish-in 20th-22nd. ACA will also have a money tournament from 9:00 a.m. on the 21st through to 9.00 a.m. on the 22nd, simultaneously from 9:00 p.m. on the 21st to 9:00 a.m. on the 22nd will be the next WCC of Austin event. Finally the 21st is my birthday and I will always try and catch a carp on my birthday.
