Think Cane pole for the 21st century. I tried it and loved it.

keebranch runs a web site dedicated to light weight fly fishing. I actually prefer the light weight stuff. To me it's more fun to shoot squirrels with a .22 than shooting elephants with a bazooka.

Or in other words, sometimes I actually enjoy a light weight rod going after creek fish more than chuncking a huge rod looking for monsters.

I'm stuck out here in Colorado till the next duty station. And while The Springs (as Colorado Springs is known around here) as been getting hit with an unseasonably wet summer this year, the rapid drops of elevation all around us means we have to go a ways to get onto some real river, creek and/or stream fishing. I was in SA 2 duty stations ago and know it and the surrounding area pretty good since we used to visit, fish and hunt there all the time, being from Corpus and Houston.
