no worries .....my side skan indicated at a quick glance it wasn't holdin n e fish .....
so we opted for a bit more water .....
13 fow a water to 35 fow water seemed a bit more productive

I think my first dozen came in about 15 minutes or so ....
fairly steady bites about 8 to 10 foot down in 14 to 18 fow ...
they was liking the "jokers wild" 1.25 slab bandit on a 1/32 oz ball head jig with a sickle hook early ....
pitch bait ...let it fall back ....
when it stops fawlin ....
jerk them eyes out ...
or lips off ....
whatever gits in the way gits a hook ya know ....
hahaha

we have grown to like this little jewel of a lake ....
lots a fish ...I mean lots .....
no traffic to amount to n e thang .....
we looked up at several spots an see there aint ....
a single boat on the lake on a beautiful morning ....
holdin a ton a fish that want a boat ride ....
it don't git much better yawl ...

simultaneous motor starts...
splendid in unison launches ....
2 ketchn TKO folks a pc. .....
we didn't ketch no whales ....
just bunches a fish ...

I tried several baits today .....
sum got bit ...
sum didn't even git a chance ....
kinda busy out there ....
here is probably the story a the day ...
the capt a the boat ketches him a keep fish ....
sets his rod down to box it ....
a kupl lil bitty tiny tandem antique feather FLE FLYz on it ...
red head black body white or yella tailed ....kant quite remember ...
barely in the water they are as he boxes his fish ....
maybe 6 inches ...KABOOM ...
rod bends ...and LAUNCHES !!!!
FIRE DRILL TIME YAWL !!!!
rod over board ...
get the throw ring ...
KAWL the coast guard ...
we gots one in the water !!!!
he drops fish and scrambles ...
I go into oh $%$%$ mode ....
him tooooo I imagine ...
the rod goes down ...
the handle stays up ...thank goodness for cork ....
he reaches and I wish I had a LONGER ROD >>>>
hehehe ta ketch his that iz ....LOL
well as luck has it the fish didn't git hooked and we managed a double team my rod to his rod to his hand retrieval ....
man THAT wuz close ...
we thunk maybe a bream ....they run large in here
never will know ...
but exciting to say the least ....

Have you fished the Cedar trees straight out from the boat ramp on the new side? they sit in about 16' to 22'.

now I promised ta use this here "feather jig" ...
I aint a feather jig guy ....but...
in a custom color .....its kawld "the Ketchn" I think ...
