What would be the best quality and size rod for shooting docks?

Personal opinion, Pro Angler 4 1/2' Shooter with a Shake-My-Spear Micro Lite spinning reel. Works great for me & one tough little rod.

Cevin, I have a BP 5 1/2' Extreme, fast action. You are welcome to borrow it to see if you like this length. I cut the hook off of a jig and practice shooting with it in the backyard. Herb
If we concentrated on the really important stuff in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles

Herb I may take you up on that. I went out for a few hours today but without down or side scan, I cannot find the brush piles. Thought I would try shooting the docks
