Brush, Points, and ledges/drop offs. When you crash into something with it, I let it sit for a few seconds, then continue reeling.

Find tree lines in 20 to 50 ft of water near creek drop. Buck,Isle Du Bois, Indian.my favs dd22 Mann's 20+. Cast into top of trees, bonce off limbs or roll over them long lip helps. Bring a Plug knocker ! Have fun !!

The Spro DD's are the best out there IMO but they are $13 a pop!

A long heavy action rod with moderate / fast tip will help a lot
It is better to keep your mouth shut and remain a thought fool than to open it and remove all doubt. Come on silly fish open your mouth and I will remove all doubt!

You may want to stick to 10-12lb test as well the heavier the line the less action your crank will have and it won't run as deep. I believe when the companies test their product they use 10lb test for the depth it'll run. May be wrong I know some manufacturers print it on the packaging

So basically it's a good idea to target deep standing timber and bounce the baits off limbs ect

Besides the above mentioned areas, I get a LOT of action on bends in creek channels, ESPCIALLY if they have brush/wood/rock on them. Isolated cover/sturcture is ALSO a favorite hang out for bass. RIP rap is another great place to try. Hope this helps.
Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.

Any structure u fish a jig or c-rig on deep throw the 6xd or 10xd at it. Points, pond dams, humps, timber lines and road beds all are great places. Some keys are long cast the right line for the depth ur fishing play a huge role. 6xd's 12-15lb line depending on cover and depth 10xd 15-20lb line u want the crank to hit the depth the fish are holding at ASAP so it stays in strike zone longer. Use a line rod 7'6"-8ft no lighter than MH power I like composit or fiber glass. Use a 5:0:1 gear ratio or lower and dig that bait hard into bottom when u hit cover like rods and trees stop it and let it float up then crank again that's usually when fish will hit

If you go to Hubbard Creek target deep rocks and ledges. They will have some deep timber on them. Make very long cast into shallower water and drag down the rocks. If you crank those areas you will catch a big fish. Firetiger or Chartruese Shad
Retirement best job ever.
