I've been worming or about 30 years but have notified sometimes I'm my own worst enemy .. And sometimes the fish that day want a slow slow . Retrieval pattern .. Just wanted some extra pointers and point of view on fishing a plastic worm slow . Texas rig or weightless . Thanks

I don't think there are any magic answers here. Slow down means slow down. Soak it. Let it sit. Alto. Don't move it.

Try moving the lure by slowly reeling by simply rolling the spool with your finger and not by turning the handle. Think it actually has a name like "stitching" or something. Regardless of what it's called it really works. Most people don't know how far they move that worm when they lift the rod and turn the handle. With today's longer rods and high speed reels people think they are hopping the worm slowely off the bottom but they actually ripping it 8' very quickly. Just drag the worm by slowly turning the spool with your thumb.

Use a Walking Worm on a Drop Shot rig. Just leave it in one spot. It takes the worm about 45 seconds to totaly curl up. Then move it once more and wait the 45 secs.

Just hope the wind isn't blowing and the trolling motor is off.

Reel in line while lowering your rod tip and only move the bait by moving up or twitching your rod.

I used to drag a c- rig across a road bed in the summer. I learned to count the rocks on the bottom. Then all the sudden I would say, that's not a rock, and set the hook. It was funny because I was catching fish when no one else around me to was. They would ask me how I was catching them, I said to count the rocks. Nobody understood and thought I was being a jerk.

Set the hook first, ask questions later!!!

Lmao. Your ADD is in full gear after 10 mins of hyper burning a crankbait.

Thanks for all the input guys ! I will definatly be trying out some of these methods and advise. I have heard the saying if your think you going slow enough then slow it down some more . But I always feel its slow enough but I know I'm wrong . Once again thanks to all !
