Hey y'all, I'm Rithy or re8elmonk0369 as I'm more communally known in the Internet forum communities. I'm new to THF & TFF but not now to online forums. Currently I'm still in California, just got back from 10 days in the San Antonio area. (Will explain more on that later).
As you may/or may already see, I'm was in the Marines (Once a Marine ALWAYS a Marine) I was recently retired on November 29th 1013 with the rank of a Staff Sergeant after almost 12 years of service. I wanted to ride out the 20 but the numerous IED blast, severe combat PTSD, TBI, and other things cut my career a little short. My last du station was in Camp Pendleton with the Wounded Warrior Bn West and I am an Alumni with the Wounded Warrior Project.
That was the reason for my 10 day Texas visit. To check out the location, look for a home, and talk to the dean for a WWP program I am attending in San Antonio.
99.9% of my fishing is saltwater from surf fishing for halibut, inshore for rock fish/bass, or off shore for the tuna. I will be bringing with me all my saltwater gear and would like to do some striped fishing. I will also start wrapping my own custom rods and repairing reels. Just as a hobby
Living in California most of my life, I can honestly say I'm looking forward to leaving that yuppie state and set roots with my family in a state that loves and support their military and don't have ridiculous laws/regulations.
I should be in the San Antonio are late September and would love to hook-up and/or get to know some of the guys/gals on this site to show me what's up.
Sorry for the long intro, I just drove in from my Texas trip 3 hrs ago. It's 0304 here in So Cal and I can't sleep.

Welcome Marine! Glad to have you here on the forum and in TEXAS! Good folks here....People in Texas are fantastic. Been all over the world (much like you due to service with USN and USAF) and always returned to 'home'.
LOL, weather is a 'little hot' but great folks!
