Appreciate any tips from those who have owned them.
John 21:3 Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee.

I have a terrova with I pilot. I love the motor. It does take getting used to. The actual trolling motor is very quiet but the motor that turns the unit is a lot different than a normal foot control. It mounts wierd having to have 6"hanging over the end of your boat. The new after market sliding brackets help with this problem though. And the stow and deployment is a lot different. Not a problem just different. The positives are many. The remote makes using it effortless and you never find yourself twisted around. The spot lock is the bomb! You can set it on a windy point or ledge and fish from anywhere in the boat if you want to. It stays in about a 15 to 20 foot area. The new go to on the waypoint share from an 1198 with Lakemaster will put right on a spot when you get close. I will stop about 50 yards from a waypoint and let the motor take me in quietly while I get my rods ready and such.
Retirement best job ever.

Always have a spare battery for the remote.

Just buy it. You won't be sorry. Spot lock almost alleviates need for a buoy marker.

I purchased one last month. Mounted it with the "SlideMaxx" which works great. I purchased the 45" but wish I had gotten a longer shaft. The deploy and retrieve is the only negative. Its such a small area on the front of the boat to push down on the release and pull up with the motor. A lanyard or longer shaft would be better. Also, if you have DI or SI on the bow mounting the transducer is an issue. There are some You Tube sites that give tips. Otherwise, love it.
