I can't remember how the fishing went, but I know he just drug the mower to the ditch and went on fishing.

After I bought my boat, I was so happy and fearless pulling it around passing everyone. (get the heck out of my way) I learned the hard way to never forget to latch the hitch. Thank goodness for safety chains. After I finally stopped threw the hitch on the ball latched it and proceeded to the lake fishing. On the way home it came off again, since it dragged on the pavement the whole underneath of the locking mechanism was trashed. Had to replace the hitch and lesson learned, it hasn't happened again so far, I check it 2,3 times before I move it. LOL!!!

i do that on almost every trip. I can never seem to remember to lock it lol

I can think of 2 stupid things I've done and one my son did:

- Forgot to tilt up the lower unit on my VIP Deckliner and when I turned from driveway to street it drug so badly it broke a third of the rudder off.

- Left the dock after loading tackle box, tool box, life jackets, etc. Motored 15 minutes to 1st fishing spot and then realized I had left the rods and reels on the dock.

- When son was in college he took a girl to visit my mom at Lake Livingston, where I kept a bass boat parked. He decided to take her out in the boat for a moonlit cruise. He hitched up to the boat/trailer and launched at the ramp in front of mom's house. When he stopped the car to let the boat float into the lake, boat, trailer and all were launched. He had left the black plastic cover over the ball.

Many years ago my dad ,who does not fish, came down to fish with his son. Now my dad thought it was cool that I was a fishing guide and all.
I backed my boat down the south DD boat ramp into the cool March PK water. The strap broke as the boat entered the water and the boat launched it self and was drifting away from the ramp headed for Hog bend.
I shucked my clothes and off I went swimming and freezing my backside off.
I felt pretty stupid standing there in my under wear. Dad and I had a good laugh later.
I quick change of clothes and we were off fishing.

I got up extra early to fish below Melton Hill Dam in Tennessee where 40 pound stripers live. It was 3:30am when I rolled into the Hardees for coffee and a biscuit. I did my boat inspection and put my plug in the livewell outlet. It was dark. Out for 20 minutes my friend said, "John is water supposed to be in the floor?" I made it back and put the plug in the right place. Talk about feeling stupid.

I opened a can of worms! Fisherman are freaking

LOL, bigjim1 with the little lawn mower with the little plastic wheels that could't stand the stain and the cherry red mower deck has my VOTE. LOL, Awsome!!

Just thought of another Out on Cedar Creek night fishing several years back in our Barreta ski/fish N boat with a couple buddy's !! One of those buddy's happened to be Chad 'chaddilac' which happened to get his rattle trap hung on top of a dock.. So as he climbed out onto the front of the boat to get his lure his foot kicked on the live well switch!!! (Which we didn't hear running because of the stereo..) And with the live well overflow being the BOTTOM OF BOAT she filled up as we fished that one area for an hour Didn't realize the boat was about half full of water as we started to move to the next location...Nope WTH!! Would not plain out.. Noticed there was water in the ski compartment ... THE PLUG Nope .. Turned stereo off (finally) Heard the pump to the live well buzzing Bilged for a long while as we troll motored and paddled for 2 hours back to channel (with storm coming) Inboard motor was water logged.... We all felt like JACKWAGONS ..Next morning boat had filled back up again from storm. THE END

Couple weeks ago, Taylor and I hooked up the boat to head out, stopped at our corner gas station to top off the tank, get ice, beer, pop, blah blah blah. Get on the freeway on ramp and just as we're getting up to speed, I see this *poof* flash of white in my rear view mirror, like someone had thrown a handful of napkins out of the boat. Think to myself, "what the heck was that?!". Tay's busy putting phones and other garb in the drybox and I go to hand her my wallet and I realize what the poof of white was- all of the receipts from about a month of business travel that were in my wallet because I was being lazy about doing expense reports (probably about $1000 or more)! I'd left my wallet sitting on the bow of the boat after topping the tank. Holy moly, we spun the truck around so fast, went back to where we got on the freeway, and there's my wallet, sitting in the middle of the freeway, receipts strewn along the grass for a quarter mile in the grass. We walked along and got EVERY one of them and all my cards, ID, etc. For once, my procrastination saved the day!

Well I guess i am a light weight. The only thing i have done was left the back tie down straps from the trailer to the boat attached while trying to launch the boat at texoma. The boat AND trailer were floating

This dumbazz launched his boat with his two most valuable possessions wife and son in the boat while the dumbazz was still in the truck? Had to swim out and rescue them. Only a wet wallet and cell phone were offered to the fish God?
