This stuff smells STRONG.. but my wife hates it (doesnt help that shes pregnant).. So i havnt gotten a chance to use it yet.. I have a couple of questions about it though.. (im a bank fisher so keep that in mind)

1. Do you dye your bait before you leave to fish?
2. How long does the scent last on the soft plastics? (how often should i dip?)
3. I use plano boxes to store my soft plastics (easier to carry in a backpack then a ton of bags and its more organized) will the smell of predipped plastics smell potent through the plano boxes?

Thanks for any answers and tight lines!!

I threw the last bottle away that I had. Stinks to bad for my liking. I have smelled stink bait that did not smell that bad

I bought a small tupperware type bowl with a snap on lid. I keep the bottle of JJ's in there and dip my baits as I need them. That way there is no spills and if if does its contained in the dish. JJs is a pain to use but nothing works better. You cannot predip your baits in it as it will bleed onto the others. It physically bleaches/changes the plastic color so its more powerful. It will go away if you spill it though same as other brands by sunlight exposure.

That is the most potent stuff known to man....and I'd bet the farm that you won't ever make the mistake of pre-dipping any plastic more than once. My suggestion is to keep a ziplock bag in your pocket to store anything you plan on keeping after use or discard immediately.

VERY good to know.. ill just carry them with me and dip when needed...

Do you guys use it on jigs? Or just the trailers?

You could probably use it on a jig but it would be overkill in my opinion. I would just use it on your trailers. You may transfer it into a shatterproof container to avoid having it break or explode as mentioned by Mark.

Also beware that with SOME soft plastics it will boil and melt the baits when they are dipped.

Why remind me that?? That was 4 of the longest months waiting for the smell to go away.

I tried to transfer some JJ's to another plastic bottle and it ate through the other bottle. Keep it in its original glass bottle grin

Eating through a bottle, eating through plastics, and exploding!?!? It's a little diehard, don't ya think? Ill stick with spike it. I'm glad this is the first time I've heard of this Jj's. Rip some lips and.... Be safe!

What is in that stuff anyways? I saw it in videos on YouTube, and thought it looked pretty interesting (but thought it was probably the same ol' BS spray scent that comes off in one cast)

Must be some pretty potent stuff to change the color of softplastics -- it's no wonder it eats through stuff (which I am sure is healthy for our fisheries too...lol)

Wow... just used this for the first time... holy [censored].. i caught 4 fish in 6 casts then a couple more over an hour.. lets just say im completly sold and wont be using any other scents again.. Not sure how much it increases fishing efficiency in the long run but i know i outfished my buddy 5 to 1 using almost identical setups (he wasnt using jjs).. And MAN ive never felt bass strike like they do with jjs on it.. the EXPLODE onto it... idk whats in jjs magic but it works...

oh and my friend never heard of it so i made him take a big whiff.. he almost puked lmfao.. And after seeing how well it worked he ordered some too.
