We used to have a wave wall at our private boathouse on Texoma by sunset. The company that built it claimed they were made for the ocean. It was about 50ft long and held down by 6 cables. First year it broke in half. They put it back together and it broke again the second year. We tried to use one half, and that half broke in half the 3rd year. We gave up and slowly built up a rock jetti over 5 years.....so far so good.

I don't know. I've only fished 30 or 40 lakes in Texas. But I gotta say that Falcon with a 30+ mph north wind can really be a biach.

Tbend is the worst because of having to stay in the boat lanes

Livingston when going under the big bridge...it adds at least a foot to the open water wave height

Big Sam in a Nor'westr

Fayette County is the roughest little lake in the world

Got caught in the open in the gulf of Texoma in my Yak a few years back chasing stripers..It sure seemed like the Gulf of Mexico..
I just went with the swells and made it to the island and waited it out..I felt like a cork float and drenched. eeks

Ray Roberts 25-30 out of the West. Going from Indian back West can tear some stuff up.

I'd say Richland Chambers since I have a boat in the bottom of it!! It can go from dead calm to 6 ft waves in a blink of eye...I guess any lake is bad when a storm pops up out of nowhere right on top of you...

Richland Chambers has produced the biggest rollers I have ever seen, 5 to possibly 6 feet with a strong north wind. Cedar Creek on a calm day is always like a washing machine during the summer.

For future reference, these are somewhat accurate depictions of wave height.

This is shoulder height on a man (closer to 3 than 2), it will be speared by any bass boat out there including Champions.

This is what a 4-5 foot wave actually looks like, what you see on a lake in 20 mph winds is not this.

And this ladies an gentlemen is a 6ft wave. You aren't making it home.

You might see some legitimate 3 footers on big lakes in the right weather but according to TFF, Athens gets 3 footers in the spring (that's an exaggeration similar to the wave stories on here).

I've been in 2 foot rollers on Palestine when the wind was blowing out of the north and it will make parts of you pucker that I didn't even know I had but the fact remains, they are 2 foot waves.

I've been on Falcon with 40 - 50 mph gusts and it was a mother trucker. We saw a guy with a 22ft Champion that decided to go south before the storm got there. The transom tore completely off of the boat. I have a picture but don't know how to post it, we took it the next day when the game wardens were pulling it up the ramp on to a flat bed. If I remember correctly James at FLT told us that the guy came in and told him if they could find the boat they could keep everything in it and he left town.

But Conroe is the only lake I have ever fished where I was sore the next day from the beating I took.

T-bend in a north wind ain't no joke either.

Texoma in a feb mediabass tournament a few years back, there were wind guest at the local airport at 67mph. Only time i have ever parked my boat and left it on the lake overnight. I believe a tffer or two swamped a boat that day.

Amistad on the Mexico side. Toledo around Hausen/Six Mile. Rayburn on the main lake. But honestly the roughest water I've encountered in the past six months was trying to drive around pine island on Livingston. I was taking water on all sides in a 21 ft bass boat.
