How many people have caught a big ole bullfrog on frog lure? [img:center]  [/img] [img:center]  [/img] My buddy did this, ofcoarse I didnt believe him but thats a preety good size bullfrog. kelly

I've caught a ton with a senko and frog.   This was three years ago my son wouldn't have anything to do with it. He turns 5 tomorrow and now I can't get him to leave them alone haha

Ive heard about that, but never seen it -- those bullfrogs are some tough lil SOBs...
the real question is how do they fight?

Ive heard about that, but never seen it -- those bullfrogs are some tough lil SOBs...
the real question is how do they fight? like a sunfish. Not much of a fight on a heavy rod and 65lb braid haha with a med action rod and 12lb it's pretty fun. I wanna do it with an ultralight.

Mmmmmm , frog legs.  I had a lure years ago that was shaped like a frog and had a pull string on it . You cast it , the string would unwind and then rewind while making the frog's legs kick . Never did catch a fish on it but it was a bullfrog magnet .

Nice job. Very good post. We would us use a small bobber and a piece of red felt on a small hook so it would float the hook.
They love red and just a 2 inch X 1/2 inch wide piece of felt.
We would catch one every cast.

I caught one 3.7 Lbs on clear tiny torpedo. but never on a frog.

Like Donald said, red felt or cloth on a small hook. Cast it on the bank within 3 or 4 feet and twitch it, they can't resist, you can catch everyone you find. It's a hoot to jerk them off the bank.

Back in the day when I use to fish from a tube, I would go down a bank with a floating fly on a cane pole and catch bull frogs that way. See the frog, drop the fly in front of him and wait for the bite.

caught several on a scum frog several years back on Palestine. It started out as a joke because I scared one off bank in some grass. Next thing I knew I had caught 3 in a 20 yard stretch.
