I am going to try out my boat at Alvarado Lake tonight. Might as well wet a hook. Anybody doing any good out there. The moon is full tonight, good right? I am planning on fishing all night. In about 6' of water, out about 50' from the cattails. Gonna drop a chum bucket, mark it, and leave it. Marked so I can refill it, retrieve it, not leave it for good like some. Chum I have is some really sour, stinky, nasty maze. Bait a hole. Going to catch me some shad for bait, that lakes full of them. Any good advice would be appreciated. Good Spots? CP you in? That desk can do with out you for a day!

Thanks bunches, that's pretty shallow over there too. You are talkin about that cove over by the dam? Right?

Yeap Dam side of that funny point, just anchor up about 50' from the cattails and cast right up to them. When it gets late or dark they are usually there cruzing along eating bugs. You may notice the bite come and go threw out the night but usually pays off if you stick with it. And yes the water is very shallow there about 3 to 4 feet where you anchor and maybe 10 or 12 inches at the cattails, havent bee out there in several weeks but usually works all summer long.

Last spring we wore the channels out with punch bait under a cork about a foot off the bottom right next to the cattails on the northwest side of the lake. Probably too shallow now but just my 2 cents

No Luck. caught 1 keeper. Fished until Midnight, got tired, went home. Tried hot dog weenies, Danny Kings, Nightcrawlers, cut perch. Only keeper was caught on the cut perch. I probably should have been using shad, I didn't find any before dark. I'm sure, I was looking in the wrong spot. Worms drew a bunch of lil bait stealers, of course. Same with the Danny Kings, they just kept pecking at it. Fish rolling everywhere, just didn't like what I had. Attached is a image of my Navi, were I was setting. Gonna try again in a couple of days. Wish me luck, or help me out, if you know what went wrong.

Ramps not bad. I had no trouble loading or unloading. Stay away from that hole! Water is low, but not terrible low, 4' maybe. Doesn't seem to have changed much, since last time I was out there, Couple of weeks ago.
