Thanks for the great comments guys. I have read a great deal of posts on the forum dealing with guys wishing they could go fishing again with fathers who, for one reason or another, are no longer able to go. I try to never take any trip we make together for granted. Even a short afternoon fishing for Bluegills is met with great anticipation by me. My father is the one who taught me how to fish so long ago I don't remember what it was I caught or where it was at that I caught it. But,I feel that I still can learn a lot fishing with him. A friend of mine, who's father has passed on, told me the other day that every time he pulls up to a boat ramp he thinks of his dad and wishes his dad was with him on that trip. I'm one lucky guy because most of the time I pull up to a ramp my dad IS with me. And, as a great beer commercial once said, we don't take things seriously- except for the things we take seriously.
