My parent's have a place in Fisherman's Cove on Fork, and while my father was there this weekend he discovered that the owners have gone belly up. What does this mean to everyone, it means that those with trailers will most likely be forced to move them and lose any lease money already paid, and anyone with a room reservation ( especially for the upcoming McDonalds) now has nowhere to stay. It looks like we will be moving a trailer and figuring out how to move the deck soon, as SRA will evict tenants on the lease back land since there is no longer an insurance policy for a park lease. If anyone knows of empty water front lots on the lake please let me know, as we now have a trailer with no lot.

man that sucks! we stayed there for the megabass in april. Great location with cheap rooms. I really liked the access point for the lake. Hopefully someone will take it over

only a week or two ago there was a guy selling a pretty nice trailer there for cheap with the lease paid up through the end of the year. Me thinks me knows why now.

Actually that was in hangout cove behind fisher mans cove. The bad part about another owner is another lease payment. Cruddy deal for all the people leasing there.

I talked to a guy in Pope's Landing this weekend that just moved in from Fisherman's Cove. He said the owners just packed up and left town! Took his money and ran! I know Popes has brand new water front lots. Maybe check with them. John's the manager and a great guy.

It a shame about that place, the last owners really tried at first then it went off the rails with karaoke and low water etc, drinking in bar instead of running the place, etc. it seems like it could be a proper place in the right hands.

That place was a dump, but had many enjoyable drunken nights at the bar.

I agree, I think that the location has great potential. My son and I stayed there last August for his first trip to Fork. The restaurant was not bad and the rates were good. It's a real shame that they gave up on it. I think if the right person were to take it over and put some time and money into it it could be a really good place once again.

It closed down over a month ago. frown I hope whoever buys it next time puts in a sewage treatment plant. We had customers from Reno look at it after Dan let it go back to the bank, it would never cash flow with the sewage situation.

Wow I grew up fishing there as a kid I remember there was no bar I always fished under the bridge. My picture with my sister and a 3lb black crappie I caught was on the wall for years

That explains a lot. I am sure the cost of putting in a new plant would be pretty high.

Try Holloiday villiges or up in Quail Hollow in Little Caney for another place to put your trailer. We had one in Quail Hollow for a while and it was great.

I looked at buying it off of the Corells in 1998 and was concerned about the septic cost back then. Cost 3.5 cents a gallon to haul off.
