I'm looking to convert all my boat trailer lights to LED. Is there any brand that is better than others?? Does the LED's have as many issues with burning out as the standard lights?? Any recommendations on where to buy them in the DFW area ??

go to the ta truck stop on 20 and buy them there, they will outlast your trailer.

or order them from here. the oval lights are all the same size, marker lights can be in various sizes.

you can't beat 20.00 for a clear lens 24 led.

I installed LED lights on my trailer about 2 years ago and it has been a great move. No more bulbs burning out, no more water corroding the sockets and wiring. I bought a rectangular LED set from Harbor Freight for $40 (similar set at Academy is $60). Has everything including wiring. I didn't use the wiring because my existing wiring was fine. Easy to install, much brighter, safer, no problems with it. If you search "trailer lights" on this forum you will find a lot of positive comments on LED conversion.

In memory of my childhood friend Dan Sterling, who taught me at an early age how to catch bream with a hand-line, and who unknowingly hooked me on fishing for life.

some advice when buying trailer lights, buy from a truck supply like a truck stop or parts dealer. they are built to a federal standard and will outlast wally world and auto parts lights.

the link I posted to iowa 80 is one of the best sources, they carry top quality.

I have zero incandescent bulbs in my boat now, everything is LED. It's the future of lighting period.

I wound up buying the "Optronics" brand because they fit the holes in the trailer, didn't know it when I bought them but they have a lifetime warranty, as expensive as they were that made me feel a little better about my purchase, have worked great for a about a year now, got them at Academy.....
