I had to share this photo of David Fritts before take off yesterday at Forrest Wood Cup. I've heard he still uses a flasher, but to actually see it mounted next to the standard side imaging units of today made me chuckle. Mainly because in the grand scheme of things today's technology is light years advanced to it, but I guess there's always a time and place for some things. Of course, you'd actually need to know how to use one like Mr. Fritts.....

Can't you get the old fashioned flasher to pop up on the screen of a lowrance and birds? I thought I saw that a while back.

I haven't seen a flasher or a folding chair on a front deck in years

Thankfully those shorts aren't any shorter, might get ticketed for indecent exposure

Yes you can put the newer units in flasher mode but they still act stupid like your graph does when you get over a lot of grass. I wish I could buy a flasher or two. Old school flasher to me is by far the way to go when flipping grass

Always heard a flasher has better echoes in grass than the new electronics

David uses a Lowrance 0-10 flasher. He says they are more accurate for his style of fishing.

Flashers are awesome! If they made a good one anymore I would have one mounted on the driver console!

I think that's kind of cool but I would be SOL. I couldn't begin to tell you how to use it.
