I'm spooling up a new Shimano 3000 with 15 lb. and was hoping to get some advice on what braid works best on Spinning Reels in your opinion? Thanks!

Either Suffix 832 or PowerPro Super Slick 8. Both have behaved well for me.

Fins Wind Tamer, less wind knots and doesn't fray as bad as the rest. I use this on all my rods and my customers give it a real workout and it holds up very well.

I like the Power Pro.

I use to be a firm believe in Power Pro, but FINS Wind Tamer has changed my mind completely. Just today I was using 2 rods spooled with each and I could cast the fins much further. It really is some good stuff.

FINS has a tighter weave which allows for the longer cast and less fraying. Less friction altogether. Don't just take it from me, get a magnifying glass and compare for yourself.
Power Pro is popular because it is widely available. It is owned by Shamano. They have more money for marketing than the smaller guys. Nothing against Shamano, I have nothing but G Lommis rods and Shamano reels on my boat. I just feel FINS is a better line.

I tried power pro when it first came out and couldn't stand it or any other braid. Tried Suffix years later and for whatever reason (knew what to expect from previous experience) have slowly started liking it for a few situations. I'm sure power pro is much better than what they first came out with but stuck with the Suffix...now using their 832.

A good rule of angling philosophy is not to interfere with another fisherman's ways of being happy, unless you want to be hated.

Sufix is also very good. Very tight weave. Stay away from any braid from Trilene and Cajun Braid.
