Copied from: bigbassdreams 3 hours ago Throwback to March, 1997. #PaulDuclos was an avid fisherman and was chasing giant #largemouth. He was casting a #Castaic #swimbait at a tiny #California lake, Spring Lake when he stumbled on an absolute giant. Weighed on a bathroom scale, she went 24lbs!!! He wasn't willing to kill the fish to guarantee his world record. Mad respect for this man. Yet he was chased away from this amazing sport by the ridiculous amount of negativity and flat out hatred by OTHER #FISHERMEN!!! We never understood this facet of the #fishing game. Why must we ridicule each other? Why the false claims, the accusations? Fishing is supposed to be #FUN!!! Here we are 16 years later and much of the same negativity looms over what we all love to do. Especially with social media being so prevalent. Don't be that guy! It drove a great fisherman away from what he loved doing. This needs to stop. Here's a quote from Paul, “I’m happy I let the fish go,” Duclos said in the June/July 1997 issue of Outdoor Life. “If I had kept it, my life would have been a living hell.” #DamnShame #DontHateCongratulate #BringBackTheFun #BringBackThePassion #NoPhotoshop #AimHighDREAMBig #TheMovementIsREAL #BigBassDreams

Wonder who the highest bidder would be to say I caught it on their lure/rod&reel/line. Yep. Keep absolutely quiet about your reel, line, lure, boat, truck, clothes. Get a lawyer.

Call Jersey Dan and ask to borrow his scales. Then I would post a pic of it on the TFF of course and ask everyone to guess the winning weight.

That's pretty good... haha. 3 sets of scales and backup batteries is what you will find on my boat.
