Is there a such thing as private ponds or lakes filled with huge bass that people charge to fish on but guarantee good fishing? I live in Dallas and my dad wants to catch a HUGE bass but we dont know much about locating them in our boat. He is willing to pay up to 150

There are other places but none offer the chance at a dd like the Bell. Good luck!

While reading the request I flashed on the old days I'd heard about, where city slickers would come out and pay to shoot some buffalo in a fenced off area, just to say he'd done it.

But hey, I'd fish CB if I could. As we all know, just because they are there does not mean you'll get 'em to bite, big difference in effect. Just nice to know your chances are much better.

I'd take him to Falcon and teach him to fish big baits.

I'm gonna fish the Belle one day, just to see what it is all about. Of course, once I get employed in an imaging center smile

Never been to either but CB but from my understanding its a pretty penny. If not that then take him to Falcon sometime in like oct or feb and get a guide. I would think you chances are better at the Bell but also it is fishing so you never really know! The hunt for the elusive DD is basically why we do what we do. Best of Luck

There is nothing "guaranteed" about catching a DD fish at Camelot Bell. Your odds are increased due to the number that are in there but it is not guaranteed.... No ifs ands or buts about it.

That is correct. Fouzman and I went out probably 3 years ago there and it sucked. The owner Mike caught the 11... I think we had 10 fish that day.

Falcon with a guide is probably where your best bang for the buck lies. Those trips with dad can be just that and nothing else. If a DD comes along then it's icing on the cake. The outing in itself is what will matter the most in the long run.

Mark,

I know of nobody who guarantees that you will catch HUGE bass. However, there are private lakes where the odds are increased as big bass are known to reside. I have had the opportunity to fish lots of private lakes inside our club and outside our club and catching HUGE bass are not the norm at any lake. The best of the best are generally no access, unless you are family. I look for them everyday. All that said, you can catch HUGE bass, but it takes a lot of time on the water coupled with a little luck and a little skill. FYI, I am calling a HUGE bass 8 lbs+. If a 5 lb bass is HUGE to you then your options go way up.

My best advice is to get with Steve. I have caught some big fish in his club lakes. My best from his lakes is 9 15. I was bouncing the scales trying to get it to hit 10. I have been in the boat for two more over 11. They are in there.

For $150 bucks, your best bet is the tank at Bass Pro, because I imagine that will be around the cost of the ticket. I would save your money, and try to get one of the top notch guides on Fork, it's a lot closer to Irving than Falcon.
