Me and my buddy are planning to wade fish mosquito island and possibly the Texas city levy tomorrow morning. Any reports on what's been caught there lately or good baits and colors to use?

Caught a couple flounder and some nice trout. There was a ton of bait in the water which made catching them on plastics tough. I saw half a dozen specks over 25 caught on live shrimp and croaker. Probably woulda done better in live bait.

I just left, slicks popping up everywhere and a lot of bait. I only caught a croaker, and couple sandies. Would have been nice if the water was clearer. I threw morning glory, electric chicken, and plumb touts, also tried a gulp which is what I caught my fish on.

Water was a little off didn't fish. I'll try again another day. My go to bait here is a 3" wildeye bunker shad for trout. Catch 2000's and live pinfish are good for reds when they are there. Fat boy grubs are good for flounder. I'll try for flounder this evening if the wind slacks off.

Anyone have any advice on the kemah flats? It's closer to me than the dike and I heard the fishing can be good there.

Cocahoe minnows worked for me. TTF flats minnows work to. There is always a lot of bait fish around that area.

Todville bridge area is easy to wade. With a kayak you can cover some water.
