has any one use 12 carolina skiff for bay fishing? if not do you think you could?

absolutely can be used at the coast. Just use common sense on where you run it and do some research on cleaning and maintaining all parts, boat, motor, trailer, etc, after being in saltwater.
Would be ideal for accessing the flats around the JFK causeway.

Thanks, I am still trying to find my first boat. I want to use in both salt and fresh water. I am looking at a 1997 Sea Ark ZX 170 with a 60 horse Jonhson. Could that boat be used in the bay?

trailer! make sure its ok for salt steel will rust from the inside. Galvanized or aluminum I think is what you need for salt. Not 100% but ive seen that a few times on the forums here.

will i finally bought my first boat. 17 ft monarch p170. Now i need some cover advice. I need to buy a cover , but i want one that i can go down the road with. any suggestions?
