Me and a couple buddies will be hitting O.H Ivie reservoir this weekend in our kayaks. I haven't seen many reports recently, do any of you guys know how the fishing has been as of late? We're staying at Elm Creek so we will more than likely be fishing that general mid section of the lake.

I spent the morning out there and did no good. Really wish I knew how to find some fish there.

It's tough out there right now. We just left there. 2 dinks between 3 of us. Heard some of the locals even talking about struggling here lately.

Three dinks as well for me on each of the last two weeks. Ready for fall and cooler weather.

They got to have shade and be on the edge of deep water. Drive over to concho Park each morning and put in near the river where you have the big river trees on the lip of the channel.

The concho arm is quite a bit dirtier than the rest of the lake and i was wondering if water quality had anything to do with fishing? will they be headed for clear water? or just stay put up the river?

My expierence is the fish up in the river are just that river fish. They go with what they know.

The main lake fish seem to migrate more

It's a grind and your fishing for one or two bites, but there have been some big ones caught in the last few weeks.

Don't go up the rivers. Just get to the big timber on the river channels. Mouth of Concho and all the River trees around Bucky's Point on the Colo.

Yellow bluff is northeast of concho boat ramp, when you come out of concho your running right toward it. You can't miss it, not hard to miss. Now I live on the lake and have never heard of buckys point, but I'm a main lake guy and not into the river stuff.

Okay thank you for the help. I usually fish the main lake but after not having much luck I decided to change things up and go up the river.

Chance I could tell you where Buckys is but I would have to kill you LOL ask Brian. Most of it is out of the water anyway. Not worth messing with you would have to skin up that new boat to get there. If the lake ever comes up some maybe 10 or so ft I will show you.
