How is the Ranger better than the Phoenix? Please explain. I like both boats but I don't understand your statement.

If you had 10,000 Rangers and 10,000 phoenix lined up in a field and 10,000 fishermen and the boat was free at the end of the day you would have a field full of phoenix. One boat has been around 40 some years the other no idea. I don't feel they compare its like Caddy to Kia.

Obvious you own a Ranger...not sure if the bias is your a perstaffer or just an flw angler forced to run one...Your post is exactly what the OP didn't want.

Phoenix 7 series isn't truly a fair comparison. The 921 and 521 are more on par. The 920/921 is a wide boat, almost as wide as a ranger. To me the Phoenix rides better and is definitely faster. I personally don't like the way a ranger rides. It's truly a sled to me. I've drove a few 520s and they aren't my cup of tea. Great boat for sure awesome fishing platform, but not the ride I would personally buy. Don't mean jack to you though what I like. Seriously ride in both and decide. Personally ill choose Phoenix out of those two everytime

How close is your nearest dealer? That's a big concern service wise. I can get my ranger worked on very easily due to the number of ranger dealers. That new engine will need checked over several times, long trips to the dealer can mean long periods boatless.

Not even a fair comparison to put that poor machine up against the Ranger Comanche

Depending on how long you are keeping the boat one thing I would check is the resell value of all boats. If you are planning on keeping the boat for 5 years or less this would make or break a deal for me.

I am a Ranger homer so to speak, I want one so bad I can't stand it. That said, I fished out of my buddies 2013 Phoenix 920/250 Verado. That is a 77 mph boat with both of us. That is an amazing boat to say the least....Storage galore, stable...just a good boat. That said, my heart is still set on Ranger.
