Academy and Bass Pro Shops - as needed.

In memory of my childhood friend Dan Sterling, who taught me at an early age how to catch bream with a hand-line, and who unknowingly hooked me on fishing for life.

I buy alot of stuff from the shops around Fork, I order from Brannons and TackleWarehouse.I do still go to BPS when we are somewhere that has one, as my wife loves to go in there. She can't gripe about how much I spent as she will match me dime for dime.

Used to shop Brannon's a lot mainly because you buy soft plastics by the pound there. I've been wanting to stop in @ Lake Fork Tackle but haven't made it yet.....Prolly hit them on my first trip back to Fork.........

I order from tackle warehouse, I shop at BPS when in DFW or San Antinio... But I feel the most important places to spend fishing dollars are with the guys and gals that are taking the risks, by operating their own fishing related businesses. So, even if its a just pack of worms or hooks, I support all of the local tackle shops I go into.

We put virtually everything on visa or m/c rewards cards, very convenient for us, and we ALWAYS pay in full the day the bill arrives (after verifying each +/- line on the statement).
We get almost all our stuff from BPro on the charge card points, know the amount before our bimonthly shopping expedition, rarely spend more than pocket change in using up all the points.

Fishing, a man knows a serenity of soul and peace of mind that he finds in doing nothing else, and it makes no difference whether or not he catches anything. The mind of a true fisherman is not on petty subjects.
